It rained today-no zoo
We got up today and it was raining so the trip to the zoo was cancelled. We stayed in our room and packed for our flight to Guangzhou. For those of you flight checking, the flight has been changed to CZ3519(11:40-13:20) Here is the view from our hotel room. This is the park we walk through to get to the Lotus Center (Wal-Mart). Yes, it is always this smoggy and cloudy. Next we are off to the infamous White Swan hotel.

Bummer! No monkey for Christmas. Oh well, I'm sure my cat (or your kitties) wouldn't have appreciated one anyway. :) You are going to LOVE Guangzhou. It's beautiful and the White Swan is SOOO nice. You'll love Raymond as well. He looks like Yao Ming. haha Be sure to go to the little shop directly behind the hotel called "China Town" and say hi to Millie. Very young teeny little asian girl that we became VERY attached too. Also order dinner from Danny's Bagels. They have GREAT food AND they deliver to the room. Have fun!!!
Rain and no zoo! Curses! Bet none of the three of you really missed it. The close, quiet time with precious Keegan is golden. Pretty soon, you'll be boarding your plane to leave for Guangzhou. You will be in the lap of luxury, there. The breakfasts are extraordinarily good, and they will cater to Keegan. Anything you need, you have but to ask. There's a neat playroom on the first floor, and the shops on the Island are fantastic--all the merchants are very receptive to new parents and their babies. Believe it or not, time will go very fast now. So enjoy every minute and take many, many pictures. Hope you get a room on the Pearl River side of the Hotel, but if you don't, the view on the other side is terrific, too. Best view is of Keegan! :-) Ann & Mike
